What is content coaching and consulting?
As a content marketing professional for almost 10 years in firms and in-house environments, my experience has been with Capital One and Dotdash Meredith verticals through staffing agencies, fact-checking and editing across finance, lifestyle, wellness, family, and DIY content. I have also been a freelance editor for Curated, a sports gear review company.
In so many words, I like to develop content, whether a blog post or a search field box entry on a landing page interface. YOUR words, your marketing content in all forms also matter to me. And that’s why I like to help improve them in order to maximize your target audience reach, whether blog readers or site visitors turned customers.
What all does content coaching and consulting for marketing, social media, and blogs entail, you may ask? We’ll describe it…yes, in words.
What my content consulting and coaching services consist of
Based on your specific brand, industry, story aims, and reader or buyer personas (those would be the important people known as customers, readers, followers, and overall audiences who buy into and follow your content, products, services, influence, and the like) you will receive any of the most appropriate guidance. Some such examples are:
- Pre-consulting session preliminary reader persona- or customer persona-backed research using market data and cultural reporting tools like sparks & honey and Pew Research Center to prep for your questions regarding who your persona is, the general types of topics, story themes, and/or queries your target audience wants to see and how they want to see it
- Pre-consulting session preliminary website reviews to prep for your questions regarding anything from topic ideas, optimization ideas, better UX/design/user experiences in layout and functionality, and the like
- Pre-consulting session preliminary review of story concept or sample size content (1 blog or web page, 1 viral piece of social content, 1 PPC ad, etc.) to prep for your questions regarding marketing content suggestions or improvements
- General topic research/keyword research suggestions with resource and tool insights
- Content strategy: Content audits, journey maps, content outlines, content calendars, keyword/topic research and ideas for your blogs, and other on-page SEO and content strategy insights upon request
For content marketers, we can also consider some small representative website, blog, or UX audit as a Kickstarter action plan for better content and optimization on your blog or overall website. This would be an additional service upon request. The actionable report and audit/review will be sent through Google Sheets and/or Google Slides.

Each session is unique and tailored to one’s specific needs and content sector (authors having a different experience than marketers and yet sometimes bloggers intersecting loosely between the two).
