It means all of the following:

Being able to afford quality films, books, and whatever other creations that follow. Ones that tell stories that others won’t tell fully and accurately or won’t tell at all.

Being able to afford our dreams, our cinematic and literary visions, and our deeper visions expressed through that lens or on that page. No matter the cost.

Being able to afford for ourselves what we want (the right depictions in the media fictional world and, in turn, in the real world) even when social and financial circumstances try to make it impossible.

Being able to afford the impossible and making them possibilities.
